Armando Pacini was born in Pescara in the Abruzzi Region, Italy, on 21st January 1957.
Artistic studies, first exhibitions at the age of 17, then verifcation within the artistic circle, its narrow-mindedness, its censures, its prejudices, its lobbies.
He gets a technical degree at the age of 23 and works as a freelance for a long period, even though still producing, occasionally and with some pauses, his own "dreams", his own "visions".
This production is the one that he now presents on the Net, available fro those who wish to see it, criticize it, reproduce it, and, in order to actually see it real, even purchase it.
The important thing now, is to show it, to talk about it.
The technique used for the painting is based on manipulations of chemicals and colours for frescos, melted in gum arabic.
There are blueprint passages, photographic passages based on the Bichromate Gum technique, manual works, inserts with acrylic paints.
The whole is particularly solid, being realized on a support of special cardboard, named stuck paper, which appears bright and solid.
The evolution in the techniqe brought to results sometimes particularly physical, sometimes photographical. In any case the component which is always present is the sun, with its energy and its effects on materials.
The subjects of the portraits are: Marilyn Monroe, Margaux Hemingway, Marlene Dietrich, Lady Diana.
It is possible to get detailed information on the single pictures sending an e-mail to the artist and quoting the number of the picture.
